Where to go to celebrate New Years Eve

Well its nearly the end of 2014 so lets have a look a were to enjoy a good night out with top tunes.
Its been a great year for the show with some great moments at various festivals and events reviews . We are also putting together a list of free tickets for our coming competition.

Our first mix on tonights show is by Dj Svess

Dj Svess (Sweden/UK)
::: Furthur Progressions Records:::
Svess, aka Sophia arrived in London in 2003 and went to her first psytrance party shortly after...this was the moment when her love for psytrance began. Never ever had she heard or felt music in this powerful way before.
Having had a huge interest in music from an early age, being classically trained in violin, guitar and singing, the composition, rythm and detail of psytrance felt more right than anything else. After six years of blissful experiences on dance floors all over the world her desire to learn how to mix had grown very strong.
In 2010 she played her first gig at Cosmo festival, alongside Bedouin as their new tribal progressive b2b duo "Bedders and Svess". The duo has played at parties and festivals such as; Acid Monkey, Omnicience, Planet Bob, the Gooseberry Tree and Waveform.
In 2013 she started her own solo journey as a progressive and full on dj. In just a year’s time she has become a frequently booked dj on the London underground scene.
She has played at events such as Tribal Village, Chrysalid, Progressline, PsyDoors, Secret Soma, Triptonarnia, PsyPirates, Alternative Waves, Made in Transylvania and many more.
Svess is also a Secret Soma resident and has recently become more involved in stage management and production of Secret Soma and other events.
Svess plays anything from rolling energetic progressive to powerful deep and hypnotic full on, sometimes with a little dark hint.
Svess sets will take you on a powerful energetic and hypnotic journey filled with the full spectrum of psychedelic emotions.

Our 2nd is a new release from Hedflux

My name is Steve Young aka Hedflux, and I make groovy psychedelic bass music.
I started this project in 2006 with a mission to combine the rhythm and bass of nu-skool breaks with the hi-tech sonics of psy-trance. After much tinkering and perseverance, a distinctive new style began to emerge; a style which I think is best described as psychedelic tech-funk
Psychedelic // "Soul Manifesting"
Tech // "Technical"
Funk // "Funky"

Our third mix up tonight is Hanz Dwight

Hanz Dwight is an enthusiast of all forms of the electronic. As a DJ he is known for hard-hitting diversity in his sets taking participants on a psychedelic journey through rolling bass, melodic riffs, acid leads, techy rhythms, and ambient atmospheres. Every element is carefully chosen ensuring the absence of a lackluster experience making each voyage one to remember.
Since 1997, Hanz Dwight has been an avid listener of all forms of electronic music, and has been a part of Southern California’s electronic dance music scene since 2008. Though currently focused on sharing the Progressive Psychedelic Trance sound through DJing and producing, he is no stranger to other musical genres including (but not limited to); Techno, Trance, Goa, Breaks, House, Hard Dance, and Hardcore.

We also have a few tracks from Tristan compilation album

The tunes on tonights show are from Ace Ventura,Toxic Tegan and
They each bring their own fantastic style to this weeks show.
Our first mix up tonight is by Ace Ventura

Behind the Ace Ventura project is Yoni Oshrat - one of Israels biggest talents in electronic music, with a career on top of the scene, stretching for over a decade. Already from an early age Yoni was heavily influenced with music.

He was born in a musical family with his father being a famous Israeli composer and song writer (for instance behind the Eurovision song "Halelujah"), and it was there
fore no surprise that he went for a career in the sound-business; at first in the TV and movie-industry as a sound producer.

After discovering the blooming trance-scene in the beginning of the nineties, he started DJ'ing and teamed up with his friend DJ Goblin to form the psychedelic trance project Children Of The Doc, which later changed name to PSYSEX. Together they released 3 critically-acclaimed full length albums on HOMmega Productons, and played a big part in establishing Israel as one of the most important trance-countries on the globe.

After several years of intense touring, playing at some of the biggest parties and festivals worldwide, Yoni's taste moved more and more towards the slower, groovier side of music though, and from 2006 he took the decision to leave the Psysex project and form the two soloprojects SCHATSI and ACE VENTURA. With Schatsi he was quickly featured on labels like Hadshot and Mylo's Breastfed Recordings, and top DJ's like John Digweed played some of his material on numerous occasions. More attention was put into the Ace Ventura project though, and using a fusion of the hard, pumping dancefloor-oriented style from Psysex and the deeper, groovier influences of progressive trance, the Ace Ventura project became a big success, and in a matter of just a few releases, such as the now classic debut "Cardiac Arrest", he was already considered among the top producers on the progressive trance scene.

After appearing on releases on labels like Flow, Echoes, Blue Tunes, Spintwist, HOMmega and Iboga Records he finally released his debut solo album "Rebirth" in 2007, which was without a doubt one of the biggest releases of the year. It resulted in Ace Ventura winning the Psytrance category at the Beatport Music Awards in 2008.
About one year later the album was followed by a remix album "Re:Boot", which contained two CD's with remixes by various progressive trance, house, electro house and techno artists. This release, together with the release of "The Spark", the summer anthem remix of FREq's "Short Life Again" as well as a collaborations with various artists - also resulted in Ace Ventura winning the Psytrance category at the Beatport Music Awards in 2009, For the second year in a row. Recently releases such as 'Inside us' (together with Timelock) and the Interactive noise remix for the classic tune 'Presence' have reached the first place in the Beatport psytrance charts.

Despite playing all around the globe, at major events from Boom in Portugal, XXXPerience, Tribe and Universo Paralello in Brazil, Solstice in Japan, Glade in the UK ,Ozora in Hungary to Indian Spirit, Tshitraka, Antaris and Full Moon in Germany, Yoni isn't resting on the laurels – Working on other projects such as EASY RIDERS – together with fellow friend and partner Roy Tilbor (aka Rocky) – as well as on the newborn project ZENTURA, together with Wouter Thomassesn (aka Zen Mechanics) and last but not least, on the longtime collaboration LIQUID ACE, together with Nicola Capobianco (aka Liquid soul).

Besides producing tracks for various labels, Yoni complied a few successfull compilations, namely the 'New order' series for HOMmega records, which was the first progressive release of the label, as well as 'Digital beings' for Echoes records. Recently he compiled the double CD 'Dance Computer' for Iboga records, and now the 3rd chapter of the 'New order' series is ready to be unleashed as well. These days, final work is underway on the 2nd Ace Ventura album – 'Paradise engineering' – to be released by the end of the year on Iboga records.

Our second mix up tonight is Toxic Tegan
Tegan began DJing professionally in 2011, when she started an insatiable love for darker side of Psy. Her inspiration came after a trip to Freedom festival in Portugal and a struggle to find similar music in the UK, especially in her home town of Birmingham.

Tegan has played at many festivals and parties across the UK and in 2012 became resident DJ for The Tribal Sphere records parties held in Birmingham. In 2013 Tegan toured South East Asia, Australia and India representing Tribal Sphere. From playing at bush parties such as “Inter-dimensional Architect’s” and the ‘Wizardry of Oz’ in NSW to the infamous ‘Curly’s’ on Anjuna beach.

The highlight of Toxic Tegan’s trip was to headline the main dance stage at MTV’s RAGASTHAN festival in the Khuri sand dunes near Jaisalmer. Toxic was asked by the organisers to extend the 2 hour set she played, with 2000 on the dance floor, fire dancers and sword swallowers it was certainly one to remember.

As a key member of the Secret Soma Psy-cafe working parties such as ‘The Late Blossom’ ‘Psynon Records’ and ‘Psy Safe’ events in London UK. She was fortunate to meet some of her favourite producers including Kindzadza and Harmonic Rebel and now has a regular DJ slot at the Secret Soma Psy parties in London.

Since returning to the UK in 2014, Tegan has had the opportunity to play for Soma at “Elixir of Life” and also “Triptonarnia” appearing on the line up with some of Psy-trance’s most respected artists, as well as continuing with her residency with Tribal Sphere.

Playing a mixture of bouncy/dark full on Psy-trance, Dark forest and Psy-core with BPM’s no less than 149. Musical tastes include metal bands such as White Zombie she loves to incorporate old fashioned horror samples into her cutting edge electronic DJ sets.

The music she plays has been described as having high energy, relentless beats and the trance floor is always heaving!!

Please like Toxic Tegan’s page on Facebook and watch this space for her debut EP release coming soon!!!!!!!

Our mix up tonight is one you have heard before but a new style for him its

The show's Review from Psynon & Parvati Night @ Crucifix Lane :: 7th Nov 2014 ::

Well what a journey that was after travelling down from North Wales and arriving just after midnight we finally managed to park our bus and get ready to party.

Some of our favourite producers Dj's and record labels all under one roof, so after 4hrs of traveling I was ready to party. We joined the queue I could feel my anticipation building up as we entered the  venue. The door staff were friendly and unobtrusive this was my first ever London indoor event so not knowing what quite to expect my excitement in getting to hear some top players was palpable. As I entered the long dark corridor I could feel the vibrations of the tunes.
The club its self is pretty dark apart from the lighting an effects from the night its self. The decor was simple but effective in creating the right vibe for the night.
Highlight of the night was getting to hear Arjuna play a wicked set.  Illustrator first time in the UK played a fantastic set. Gluseppe top tunes. I didn't managed to say hello to many of the artists to busy dancing.Although I much prefer outdoor events for a indoor venue its pretty cool great atmosphere staff okay. This night really was all about the tunes. the dance floor was buzzing everyone really enjoying a full-on dark forestry night. It was lovely to also meet nice friends and say hello to old ones again.
